Amanda Morris
Amanda has trained in a variety of styles of dance since she was 8 years old. Amanda attended Michigan State University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Minor in Dance.
While she was there she was a member of the Orchesis Dance Company and studied under Sherrie Barr, She was the President of the MSU Ballroom Dance Team for 3 years. Amanda also has been choreographing and teaching for Terry Matlock School of Performing Arts in Flint, Michigan since 2012. Where her soloists and dancers have won a variety of top place awards at competitions. She also co-choreographed the 2014 Lions Thanksgiving Half Time Show.
Amanda studied Ballroom and Latin dance in New York City for 5 years. During her time there she took classes at Alvin Ailey Dance Extension with Sekou McMiller, and also studied at Broadway Dance Center. She worked at Dance With Me Studios and NY Wedding Dance. She trained under World Latin Champions and DWTS Cast Members Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach.
Amanda is a 2017 and 2018 USA Dance National Finalist, as well as the 2019 National Prechampionship Rhythm Champion, and a 2019 Amateur American Rhythm National Finalist. She taught K-8 Dance in NYC Public Schools for 5 years. Amanda is currently a member of the National Dance Education Organization. She recently started her other business Seeds Arts, which provides Virtual Performing Arts Classes to kids and adults. Her passion in life is to make Dance Education accessible to all.
